Laura Steele. ADHD UK Ambassador
Hi, I’m Laura. I’ve worked in education for over eight years in both teaching and advisory roles (predominantly FE-based), and I’m truly honoured to have been invited to become an ADHD UK Ambassador. I hold strong integrity, and my values — philanthropy, equality, inclusion and respect — guide everything I do, both professionally and personally.
As someone with ADHD, my journey from diagnosis to self-acceptance and self-management — learning to thrive through establishing healthier boundaries within myself and with others — has not always been easy. Those experiences have shaped my understanding and deepened my commitment to advocate for all young people, regardless of their intersectionality, who deserve understanding, support and opportunity.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be in a position where I make a difference, supporting other neurodiverse individuals both professionally and personally. So I am even more excited to continue that work on a much greater scale in partnership with ADHD UK. I am very excited to begin this next chapter and to contribute to change that will benefit not only the present, but future generations.
