Some local NHS areas are placing restrictions on Right to Choose. Click the button below to skip to that section.
Quick Info
• In England, you have the option of NHS Right to Choose. Accessing that allows you to access the shortest wait times that exist in the NHS England system.
• The shortest waits are with the outsourced providers (still an NHS Service, and NHS prescriptions should you opt for medication).
• We contact the providers once a month to learn their wait times.
• The information is displayed below to help you make your own choice.
• Some NHS Areas have put in restrictions to Right to Choose. We’ve started to collate data on that too. We don’t think the restrictions are legally or morally right and we hope you will get involved in helping us fight them.

Evolve Psychology have several clinics across the UK, Harrogate – North Yorkshire, Huddersfield – West Yorkshire, Exeter – Devon & Cornwall, Norwich – Norfolk. They offer Right To Choose assessments for ADHD and Autism (or both as a combined neurodevelopmental assessment) for children/ young people up to the age of 19 who are in education. They are also now able to offer Right to choose service for adults for AUTISM only assessments. They do not offer adult ADHD assessments under Right to choose, but do have a private service. They can accept referrals England-wide. They prefer face to face assessments, but might be able to offer online assessments for autism only assessments if the inclusion criteria is met. November 2025 Update: They are at 12-16 months waiting time. Able to take referrals for 0-19 year olds for autism and/or ADHD. We are delighted to now be able to take Right To Choose referrals for adults for autism only assessments. We continue to offer private and Insurance referrals for adults ADHD assessments. NHS Medication Option: Evolve do not offer a titration service, and each geographical locality in England has different referral routes for considering medication. Following assessment, if the client receives a diagnosis for ADHD their comprehensive report will give recommendations for ongoing management of the symptoms of ADHD. We may make a recommendation that they would benefit from an assessment by a psychiatrist for pharmacological interventions for ADHD. We advise that this assessment could either be done via psychiatry in the NHS e.g. through specialist ADHD services or CAMHS, or privately. We highlight that a meeting with a psychiatrist allows the client or family to discuss possible continued medication options to treat the symptoms of ADHD. If medication is prescribed after any assessment meeting by the psychiatrist, then we advise that they should be reviewed regularly by a psychiatrist. As clients come to us from across the UK, we advise that any medication would need to be discussed with your local specialist services, CAMHS or GP depending upon what services are available in their area. |

Harrow Health is a Community Interest Company who only provide NHS care to NHS patients. Harrow Health do not offer any physical or mental healthcare services privately. Harrow Health only hold contracts with NHS commissioners. From Harrow Health: Diagnostic assessment is undertaken one of our experienced ADHD Consultant Psychiatrists or Specialist Clinicians. Full ADHD Diagnostic Assessment Medication Initiation on the same day (where applicable) Full titration until stable on medication Shared Care (where agreed) Continued Prescribing Annual Review Once diagnosed, you will receive advice on the proposed treatment plan. If that includes medication, and you agree, you will usually receive your first prescription at the end of your diagnostic appointment with no wait time. Once stable, we aim to enter into a shared care agreement where we will support your GP for continued prescribing. You will always be seen by a consultant psychiatrist, or specialist prescribing clinician to ensure your medication regime is optimised before a shared care proposal is sent to your GP. To support shared care arrangements with the patients GP, Harrow Health offer annual reviews. In the event of the GP practice declining a shared care agreement, Harrow Health will continue to prescribe the patients medication and undertake an annual review. How to refer? Your GP can refer you to our service via Patient Choice using the Electronic Referral System. This is a wholly NHS service and therefore no provision to provide private patient appointments. Please note that the service does get very busy and at times it can be difficult to make contact, we respectfully request that patients wait according to the response times advised before making contact with us. There is lots of information on our website, including ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ that should answer many queries. It is essential that patients complete and return their pre assessment forms ASAP, as we cannot progress to your assessment without these. Note: Harrow Health solely offer adult ADHD assessment. They do not offer Autism assessments. They do not offer any Child Assessments. December 2025 Update: They are open for Right to Choose bookings. Working with individuals and families facing mental and emotional difficulties privately and with the NHS, Clinical Partners offers a trusted pathway for neurodevelopmental care. We provide expert ADHD and autism assessments for anyone aged five and above, available through our NHS Right to Choose ADHD and Autism Assessments and our Private ADHD and Autism Assessments. Our team of more than 200 specialist clinicians, supported by a dedicated patient support team, ensures that every assessment is conducted with precision and to the highest clinical standards. As a CQC and NHS registered provider, our NICE compliant assessments are carried out through secure, online appointments, making the process both accessible and convenient. Beginning with a straightforward GP referral, our comprehensive process leads to an in-depth diagnostic evaluation and detailed reports with personalised recommendations. We provide accessible ADHD medication support, including a Right to Choose medication service. For more details please visit our adult medication services page or our children and young people medication services page. For any additional information, please refer to our right to choose page or contact us at 020 3761 7029 or email rtc@clinical-partners.co.uk. November 2025 Update: Since January, more people than expected have been referred to us. At the same time, the NHS has changed how Right to Choose referrals are funded and managed. Local NHS areas, called Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), are applying this guidance in line with the priorities and needs of the communities they serve. This has made the process more complex and has affected how quickly we can book assessments. The wait times we share reflect this reality as accurately as possible. They are based on the current Right to Choose arrangements but may change in the future if the NHS makes further decisions. We remain committed to being transparent and fair, but please visit our Right to Choose page for the latest information about your ICB area to help you make an informed decision. |

Please note that some ICBs are imposing activity caps on the number of patients to be seen. This is not due to any limited capacity of Harrow Health. This may result in longer waiting times dependent on which NHS Integrated Care Board a patient falls under. |

To support shared care arrangements with the patients GP, Harrow Health offer annual reviews. Please note that some ICBs are imposing activity caps on the number of patients to be seen. This is not due to any limited capacity of Harrow Health. |

This has made the process more complex and has affected how quickly we can book assessments. The wait times we share reflect this reality as accurately as possible. They are based on the current Right to Choose arrangements but may change in the future if the NHS makes further decisions. Medication titration will be carried out by one of our highly trained and experienced ADHD Nurses or Pharmacists. Please note that some ICBs are imposing activity caps on the number of patients to be seen. This is not due to any limited capacity of Harrow Health. This may result in longer waiting times dependent on which NHS Integrated Care Board a patient falls under. |

We have seen a number of local NHS areas (ICBs – Integrated Care Boards) use a structure called Indicative Activity Plan to restrict the use of Right to Choose by their patients.
We will be updating this page on how to protest these changes over the next few days. If you want to be notifed please join our mailing list.
The list of areas we are aware of doing this are:
