Luke Bayliss. ADHD UK Ambassador

Hi, I’m Luke Bayliss, and I’m honoured to share my journey—a testament to the power of resilience, transformation, and advocacy. My life, once shadowed by the struggle with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) linked to my undiagnosed ADHD, has now become a beacon of hope and change. Diagnosed at the age of 36, after enduring the darkest times and two significant rehabilitative stays at the Priory, I lost everything I held dear. However, it was in this abyss that I found the strength to rebuild my life from the ground up.

My battle with ADHD and SUD taught me invaluable lessons about the human spirit’s capacity for recovery and reinvention. Overcoming rock bottom wasn’t just about clawing my way back to the surface; it was about rediscovering who I was and striving to be the best version of myself. Today, I am not just a survivor but a fervent campaigner for ADHD awareness, SUD recovery, and the profound belief that it is never too late to alter the course of your life.

The journey of sharing my story began with stepping onto the platform of countless podcasts such as Over the Influence, Abi Feltham’s pod, and an enlightening episode with Hunter Michael Shepherd, among many others. Through these engagements, I’ve aimed to raise awareness about ADHD, tackle the myths surrounding it, address the medication shortages, and highlight the connections to other disorders. My message is clear: change is possible, and understanding is the first step towards it.

I have dedicated myself to building a sober community through my own platform and i am also a Life Member and main contributor to Dryy. With over 10,000 members, Dryy has become a significant part of my sober journey, sharing the invaluable message of ADHD and sobriety, launching key self development focuses on Dryy Mind and conducting weekly Live streams on self development.

My efforts extend to my Sober Life Guides platform and collaborations with high-profile influencers in the sober community, all aimed at spreading the word and making a tangible difference.

As I join forces with ADHD UK as one of its ambassadors, my commitment is unwavering. I am determined to leverage my growing online presence, including my Instagram (@Llukebayliss), to raise funds, increase awareness, and inspire others through my work. Together, we can demystify ADHD, support those in their sobriety journey, and advocate for a world where every individual has the opportunity to become their best selves, regardless of the challenges they face.

The road has been long, and the fight, far from over. Yet, with every story shared, every life touched, and every misconception cleared, we inch closer to a future where ADHD and SUD are not just understood but effectively addressed. My name is Luke Bayliss, and this is my mission—my promise—to anyone who believes their story is too difficult to rewrite: It’s never too late.
