Welsh actress Kimberley Nixon has revealed she was recently diagnosed with autism and ADHD, describing the experience as a “huge weight lifted.” The Fresh Meat star also opened up about her struggle with perinatal OCD after giving birth during the pandemic, which led to intense anxiety and distressing intrusive thoughts. As she began to recover, lifelong behavioural patterns led her to seek further assessment. Nixon now says the diagnoses have helped her understand herself better, embracing her neurodiversity as a difference rather than a problem. She also spoke about her new role in ITV’s historical drama Shardlake.
