Hayleigh Greene. ADHD UK Ambassador

Hi, I’m Hayleigh. Having had ADHD my entire life, I know first hand how hard navigating the neurotypical world as a neurodivergent woman. Diagnosed during childhood but stripped of my diagnosis when I started secondary school because I was ‘too intelligent’ to have ADHD, I have since then had to fend for myself and experience lots of different struggles related to my having ADHD.

I’ve lived most of my life feeling like an outsider. My OCD, depression and anxiety in addition to my ADHD, makes everything feel so much harder. I’ve been pushed to many dark places multiple times throughout my life but have always pulled myself back which I would never have been able to do without the support of my mum, my friends and my wonderful clients. All of who inspire me every day to be proud of who I am and to always keep on following my dream of helping others.

I heard the saying once “your vibe attracts your tribe” and I feel so lucky to have found my tribe within my local gym community.

Fitness saved me and changed my life. Running outside is the only time I can calm down the constantly turning hamster wheels in my brain and it wasn’t until I started working as a Personal Trainer and Health & Wellness Coach and move to my current gym in 2022 did I find my tribe. I realise not everyone is lucky enough to be able to find their people but we are out there. My gym (Jetts Portsmouth) is home from home and I feel so blessed to be in a position where I can use my lived experiences to help other people.

One of the reasons why I started coaching is because I want to be the person I always felt like I needed for myself, for others but also because I want people to feel as happy and be as healthy as they can in a difficult world.

Having ADHD there is so much pressure on us from so many different angles and I want to help take some of that pressure off from people so they can live happier and healthier lives. I’ve pushed and advocated for myself with various different doctors for both physical and mental health conditions over the years. I help clients and friends with advocating for themselves when they need it. And now, as an ambassador for ADHD UK I can take my work even further and be the voice and helping hand other people need. I want to spread my bright light in a dark world and help as many people as I possibly can.
