Daniel May. ADHD UK Ambassador

Daniel May is an ADHD UK Ambassador and an AuDHD adult with lived experience of navigating education, work, and identity while neurodivergent.

He is the author of Neuro Man: My AuDHD Journey, a book that explores the realities of living with both autism and ADHD, including masking, burnout, mental health, and the importance of understanding neurodiversity beyond stereotypes. Daniel’s work centres on honest storytelling, raising awareness, and creating spaces where neurodivergent people feel seen and validated.

As an Ambassador for ADHD UK, Daniel is passionate about supporting the charity’s mission to improve understanding, access to support, and outcomes for individuals and families affected by ADHD. He uses creative and public platforms — including readings, talks, and online content — to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
“By sharing my story one chapter at a time, I’m proving that neurodiversity isn’t a barrier — it’s a different way of seeing the world, and it deserves to be heard.”

“A late autism diagnosis at 21 and ADHD at 37 taught me that it’s never too late to learn who you are — or to use your story to help someone else feel seen.”
