Chelle Douglas. ADHD UK Ambassador

My name is Chelle – a proudly neurospicy mama, raising an incredible ADHDer (plus two other equally brilliant kids). I’m a Specialist ADHD and Executive Functions Coach on a mission to educate and support families in truly understanding how executive function skills show up, and what can be done to help children and parents not just cope, but thrive in society.

My passion for becoming an Ambassador comes straight from lived experience – raising my ADHD daughter while learning more about her wonderfully wired brain (and, along the way, my own). Too many children are left on waiting lists, misdiagnosed, or even dismissed after finally receiving a diagnosis. I’ve seen this first-hand.

This journey is what led me to homeschool my daughter, helping her discover her executive function skills and build strategies that work for her. Watching her grow into a young person who now (by her own choice) attends mainstream school again – with confidence, self-awareness, and the ability to advocate for herself – has been one of my proudest moments as a parent.

Through my work, I’ve gained a deep understanding of school systems and how they affect SEN children, while also supporting neurodivergent parents and families. I create safe spaces where people feel heard, collaborate with organisations to push for meaningful change, and keep learning alongside the communities I serve.

As an ADHDUK Ambassador, I hope to continue this work – amplifying voices, sharing knowledge, and supporting a cause that has the power to make a real difference for so many.
