Emily Bunting. ADHD UK Ambassador
Hi, I’m Emily, I’m from the Lake District and now live with my partner and our two cats. I work as a marketing executive, helping small local businesses to grow.
Outside of work, I love cooking, getting out on my motorbike, going for hikes, and spending time in nature to help me feel grounded.
I was diagnosed with ADHD two years ago, and it has helped me make sense of many of my experiences.
I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression for most of my adult life, which has affected my confidence and sense of self. I’ve always felt one step behind others and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t ‘just do’ things as easily as others. My mind has always been busy and loud, which over time becomes exhausting. With the diagnosis, I’ve started to understand myself better and approach things with more self compassion.
I became an ADHD UK ambassador because I know there is still a lot of stigma and misunderstanding around ADHD. By sharing my lived experience, I hope to be of help to others who are struggling and want to feel more understood. I hope to build a community of good, like-minded people so nobody needs to feel alone.
