The Olivier award-winner, who will star in the musical Opening Night at the Gielgud Theatre in London next month, shared that the diagnosis helped her understand her “brain’s background noise.” Smith expressed how the diagnosis shed light on her tendency to overthink, overanalyse, and struggle with constant restlessness and impulse control, offering her a new perspective on her challenges.
