Debunking ADHD myths
INews (2025)
Comedian Nish Kumar has publicly shared that he recently received a diagnosis of ADHD, confronting misconceptions and stigma around the condition. The headline—“I’m not just a dckhead, I’ve got ADHD”*—reflects his humorous but honest attempt to reframe past behaviour in light of that diagnosis, and to highlight that symptoms he once dismissed as personality traits may have been linked to undiagnosed ADHD.
Kumar has spoken about how understanding his ADHD is helping him make sense of parts of his life and behaviour, and he’s engaging with the discussion around neurodiversity with a mix of candour and comedy.
