About the assessment wait

“Atrom Mindcare is a CQC-registered, psychiatrist-led mental health and neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment provider. We have no internal waiting list so most people book within days of sending back their forms, and every assessment is with a Consultant Psychiatrist. A few NHS areas limit referrals, so be sure to check yours on the ADHD UK website as well as at http://www.atrommindcare.com/nhs-right-to-choose-eligibility.”

About the medication wait

“We have no internal waits for medication but the time you wait may be dependant on clinical suitability. A few NHS areas have waiting lists for titration, so be sure to check yours on the ADHD UK website. You don't need a shared care agreement with your GP before we can accept your referral.”

Shared care

How to get referred

“If you're 18 or over and registered with a GP practice in England, you can ask your GP to refer you to us under Right to Choose, and your assessment is funded by the NHS at no cost to you. You cannot self-refer, so the referral has to come from your GP. Start with the short questionnaire on our website, which gives you a referral pack to take to your appointment; once we receive the referral we confirm your Integrated Care Board funds the pathway and contact you directly to book. Every assessment is led by a Consultant Psychiatrist registered with the GMC and RCPsych, face to face at our clinic in Epping, Essex or by video anywhere in the UK. You can also book a private assessment with us directly, without a GP referral.”
