Cost
Free

Nothing to pay now. We ask for a £50 returnable deposit only if we offer you a place, and return it to you automatically when you complete the course.

If you can't afford the deposit, we cover it. Just say so on the application form. It does not affect your application.

Criminal record check
Arranged for you

Group leaders need a criminal record check: an Enhanced DBS check in England and Wales, PVG in Scotland, AccessNI in Northern Ireland. If you don't have one, we arrange it for free.

Already have one on an update service? Tell us on the form.

Questions

Do I need to have run a group before?

No. The course is there to train you. If you have relevant experience or training, tell us on the form.

What if I can't make one of the evenings?

You need to come to all five, because weeks 1 to 4 build on each other and week 5 is the assessment. If the dates don't work for you this time, you can still apply and tell us.

When do I get my deposit back?

Automatically, when you complete the course. If ADHD UK covered your deposit, there is nothing to return.

Do I need to have found a venue?

No. The form asks whether you have, so we know where you are up to.

Applications close Wednesday 11 November 2026
