COVID changed the working environment - we had to work from home and having the luxury to have a home office and made it so much more easier - less distractions , (down side is hyperfocus - so I need to use a timer - to enable a break ) . This means debriefing time is spent with a cuppa in the garden (again timer ) to ensure I am back in the office . I try to keep to a strict schedule Mon- Fri routine , to enable work is separated from home .
Work have still got flexible working but now its all hot desking offices - which can be TOO QUIET hate silence , hate setting up my space everyday - so at home radio on background noise , set up all to go .
I find working from home much harder to focus. Too many distractions of things that should be cleaned or tidied. If Im in a workspace with others then there isn't much else to do so if I put on headphones and MindAmend isochronic tones focus music I can finally focus
I always preferred working from home, which was quiet, rather than in the office. I need silence to work.
I love working from home. My own environment that I can make perfect for me. But I know a lot of people who struggle and don't have great situations at home.
During COVID and the lockdown, I was never more productive or happier than when working from home.
I am just about to try this out. I hope this is going to be the answer for me.
