What does "at the current pace" mean?

We divide the number of people waiting by the number of assessments the service did in the last year. It shows how long someone joining the list today could wait if nothing changes. It is an estimate, not a promise: services can speed up, and some people are seen sooner because of urgency. The NHS standard for non-urgent care is 18 weeks.

What they told us

FOI 26 FOI 319 (24 Jul 2026): 45 adults waiting; 696 adults given an ADHD assessment in 2025/26 (45 / 696 = roughly 0.1 years). The service has recently reopened to referrals (GP referrals only) and currently has no waiting list: an adult referred now would be offered an assessment within approximately one month, subject to acceptance and completed questionnaires. The Trust expects waits to rise as referrals increase but not to previous levels (this site recorded 8,139 waiting in 2023). Pathway: GP referral, screening against criteria, waiting list, pre-assessment questionnaires, assessment by a qualified clinician.
